The crew duty day decides what a tour routing allows.
Touring parties, production crew and equipment move as one charter rather than a dozen commercial bookings, on a routing built around show dates instead of an airline timetable.
The limit is not the aircraft. A crew flying two sectors in a day can be on duty for at most 13 hours, counted from reporting to the aircraft coming to rest. That puts roughly five hours each way at the edge of a same day return.
