An AOG charter is priced against the grounded aircraft.
Engines, landing gear, APUs and rotables move on the fastest available routing rather than the cheapest. The comparison is never charter against airfreight. It is charter against every hour the aircraft sits on the ground earning nothing at all.
Where an aircraft is already positioned nearby, the route needs no special permits and the cargo is not dangerous goods, four to twelve hours from confirmation to wheels up is realistic. Anything else and we will tell you before you commit to it.
