Business ethics and conduct

Fliteline works to the Rhenus Group conduct standards. Why a broker's reputation is a working asset, and the governance framework behind it.

In brokerage a good name is not a marketing asset, it is a working one.

It is what lets us source an aircraft for an emergency response flight at a sensible rate when everyone else is bidding for the same airframe. It is what persuades an operator to release crew for a sports charter at very short notice. It is what allows fuel to be bought on credit in the middle of the night in a country where nobody has met us, so that a diverted airliner can get back in the air. None of that is available to a broker operators do not trust, at any price.

That is the practical reason we take conduct seriously. The formal one is that Fliteline is part of the Rhenus Group, and we work to the group's corporate compliance standards. Those standards cover competition law, anti bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, sanctions and trade controls, and the handling of confidential information. They apply to every member of staff, and breaching them has employment consequences rather than being a statement of intent. Ask us and we will send you the full group code of conduct.

What this means for you as a client

Three things, concretely.

  • —We quote what we are quoted. Our commercial interest is disclosed in how we are remunerated, not hidden in a rate we hope you will not compare.
  • —We will tell you when charter is the wrong answer. If a scheduled service or a different aircraft category does the job better or cheaper, saying so costs us one booking and keeps a client for years.
  • —We will decline work. Sanctions, cargo we cannot lawfully move, and movements we are not satisfied about are all reasons we will say no, and no operator or customer relationship changes that.

Quality management behind the commitment

Conduct standards mean little without a system that records what was decided and why. Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015 under certificate 2192112 and audited annually by DEKRA Certification B.V., which is what turns these commitments into something an external party can check.
