Thirty seats at 833 km/h, 3,200 km of range
Shortening the ERJ145 fuselage produced a 30 to 37 seat jet that cruises at 833 km/h and reaches 3,200 km. For a group of that size it is usually the cheapest way to buy genuine jet block times on a long sector.
It makes sense when thirty people have to cover a long distance quickly and a turboprop would add hours to the day. The cabin is three abreast and narrow, with limited overhead space, so it suits day trips more than leisurely travel.
